There is no such thing as fearlessness.
There. I’ve said it. It’s a sham.
There is such a thing as courage however, there is also excitement, eager anticipation, and bold bravery.
When you see others out there doing the things you dream of, wish you had the courage for, or have on your list to do when you ‘get over’ your fear… please don’t think they have something you don’t have.
You have it. You have always had it. You can turn that fear into excitement and see it for the gift that it really is.
This fear means you’re about to do something you’ve never done before. You don’t know how it will turn out. It could be wildly invigorating and better than anticipated… or completely flop. The challenge lies here.
The hurdle is whether you’re going to go for it now, later, or not at all. It is only through the trying that you’ll get your answer.
Fearlessness is not what it takes.
In my opinion, if you’re not a bit (or completely) freaked out it’s probably not that important to you. If you’re not shaking in your boots, you’re not pushing your boundaries and maybe don’t really care that much. You’re probably playing small.
The fear is a key ingredient in the energy that will move you forward with greater speed and propulsion toward the life you’re dreaming of.
How can you see your fear as excitement??? It’s a subtle shift that will change everything. So, what are you waiting for?
